Let 'em Breathe Invitational Bike Show
The Fellas over at Clark & Frances are setting up an Invitational Bike show... Looks like a good time!
In their words... On march 9th, 2013 Vancouver will be treated to the top 30 custom bikes in the region.

An all indoor display of several makes and styles of custom machines will be accompanied by the music of Rich Hope and Two Towns. Local Tattooer Kirk Sheppard will also be on hand showing a series of bike culture inspired flash paintings and tattooing.

Come join us on Saturday, February 23 at The Shop Vancouver for the official launch of the Oil&Rust website. Brett and TJ of The Shop will be hosting the night, so please come down and join us for a beer.
There will be an art and photo exhibit accompanying the launch. We will be debuting a new shirt that will be available for sale, as well as the original logo tees.
We will also be giving away a very sizable prize bag care of our sponsors for the evening.

Dice Issue #48
Cant wait to get my hands on a copy of the new Dice Mag Issue #48! Ive always held this mag in really high regard, they've been 'doing it right' for almost 50 Issues, with some exciting changes rumoured for issue 50!
Super Stoked that my bike is getting a feature in this issue. Here are some extra pics that may not have made it into the mag.

The Vintage Motorcyclists Workshop - By Radco
Just got this book in the mail as a late Christmas gift.
I cant recommend it highly enough if you Own / Ride / Maintain a vintage British machine.
Heres a write-up about its author and content...
First published in 1986, this book has become regarded as a classic and is being reissued by Haynes to meet popular demand. Presented in the format of a Haynes Manual, Vintage Motorcyclists Workshop is aimed at the amateur, who is encouraged to attempt almost every aspect of restoration work himself, within the confines of the home workshop.
It is packed with detailed practical information and illustration compiled by a highly respected motorcycle restorer.
Screw threads for the vintage motorcyclist:
cycle threads and other screwforms;
taps, dies and chasers, with notes on materials; heat treatment explained.
The cycle parts: rebuilding wheels, brakes and forks.
Engine work, the top half: inspection; checking piston and ring wear; machining pistons; valves, guides and seats; timing checks.
Engine work, the bottom half: flywheels; con-rods, crankcases, bearings and bushes; lubrication.
Transmission: belts, chains, gearboxes and clutches.
Carburation: servicing carburettors; tuning various types (Amal, B&B, Binks, BSA, Triumph, Senspray, Schebler, Bowden, SU).
Electrics: magnetos, dynamos, magdynos, cvc units, coil ignition, alternators and lighting.
Paintwork: preparation; stripping; rust removal and protection; coachpainting, masking, hand-lining, spraying hints.
Electroplating at home: preparation; nickel plating; aluminium refinishing.

Back to life... Almost ready for summer.
Its taken 2 years, but the '51 T-bird fired up again for the first time last week.
A lot of people other than myself need to get credit for getting this heap back on the road. Ill pay proper credit when I have some good photos to do the work justice.
For now - heres some detail shots and a couple photos of how it looks when someone 'doesnt see you before taking a left'...
